Today is the start of our wedding season for 2013. I am super excited to get back into the swing of things. But first, I have to give you a find for the day so I can be distracted all day by getting things in tip top shape for this weekend’s awesome couple.
I found these cute wine glass charms and thought they would be perfect for any wedding.
Then, I started looking around the Etsy shop, Charlie Chalk Designs, and knew there was more to this store than the cute wine glass charms. So many adorable things!! I just love everything! You can literally personalize just about anything with something from their shop. Super cute way to bring your own little flair to your wedding, don’t you think? Here’s another favorite of mine.
What is your favorite?

You all know that I am constantly looking for practical favor ideas to pass along. The only thing that could possibly make that any better is by supporting the local economy. So when a friend of mine came across this little business based right here in Pittsburgh (and actually only about 1 mile from my house!), I knew I had to share them with you. Favor Creations is a Pittsburgh-based company that can personalize just about any product they carry. If you aren’t in Pittsburgh, have no fear! They ship internationally! And an added bonus: If you spend $500, you can save 10%!
They have some really cute oil & vinegar sets for the Italian bride, espresso sets for the coffee lovers, and wine stoppers for the wine-o’s like me! I encourage you to browse around on their site for a bit because they have some super cute items you won’t want to miss!!
And because every blog is better with a photo and this awesome shop is a Pittsburgh-based company, I leave you with this shot that I found here.

I found these adorable favors and fell in love. Skeleton keys are a super cute way to add in a bit of rustic flair to your wedding decor. Unless you plan on buying the skeleton keys in bulk, which can get pricey especially since this is a huge trend right now, you may be looking for a cute alternative.
Let’s talk about why I love these favors…
1. They are very practical because they combine the favor and the escort card into one.
2. They are actually made of plantable paper, so your guests can just plant them and watch them grow! What a great way to remind them of you and your future intended after the wedding!
3. They are not something personalized with your wedding date. No one is going to use that after the wedding making them a waste of your time and money.
4. They are super cute!!
You can find them on the Etsy site for a cute little shop, Recycled Ideas. If these aren’t your thing, check out the other items in their shop. I am sure you’ll find something!
Have a happy and safe Memorial Day weekend everyone! Thank a soldier (or ten)!

Since my bridal shower is just under a month away, I thought I would share this great little article from Martha Stewart Weddings. Have questions about who should host? Who should be invited? How much should your mother and FMIL be involved in planning? When should invites go out? This article addresses all of these things. If you are the MOH, this article is for you!
If you are floating around on the site, you might find this handy-dandy article that will help get your creative juices flowing on which activities to include. Just make sure your bride is the game playing type. I know there are many-a bride who greatly dislike the games played at showers. However, this slide show offers a ton of really cute ideas to get the guests involved without playing the same old, “How well do you know your future spouse?” bubble gum game.
And I just have to include these because they are oh-so-cute! See the How To.
