Friday Finds 1.18.13

January 18th, 2013

I came across this bolero and knew I had to share. It would be perfect for a spring wedding or just someone looking to add a bit more coverage. The detail in the lace is gorgeous!

This one can be found in Alisa Benay Bridal on Etsy. I dare you to take a look around her shop and not fall in love with just about everything.

Tuesday Shoesday, Edition 70

January 16th, 2013

Today is my Tuesday, OK? No seriously, I worked Sunday this weekend instead of the normal Saturday and now my days are completely thrown off. I feel like today is Tuesday. So when I was planning out my week, I planned to write today. Not yesterday. I have been doing this all week so far.

And to top it all off, the warm weather is gone as quickly as it came. Boo. So not only does my mind think it’s Tuesday, but it’s also wishing that it were some place tropical. That must be why I am so attracted to these yummy Alexander McQueen heels.

I mean, these make me want to sip a mojito and lay in the sun. So what if I am wearing heels with my bathing suit? Don’t judge me.

Tuesday Shoesday, Edition 69

January 8th, 2013

It is sad that I had to go back and search for the last Tuesday Shoesday post. Really. I’ll be honest. I haven’t wanted to look at shoes for fear that I might actually buy some. With the holidays, I just couldn’t risk buying myself more Christmas gifts than I bought for others again. I succeeded, so now I can swoon over these cute Kate Spade heels again.

I love the lucite and patent heels. What a perfect way to add a little flair to the average old nude pumps!!

Where in the world is Carmen San Diego?

January 2nd, 2013

And by Carmen, I mean, Nicki Ann.

Well to be honest, I have been really busy lately. We have been booking tours and weddings like crazy and blogging got pushed aside. Then with the holidays… Well, I don’t have to explain that. I know you know EXACTLY how the holidays can get.

Excuses, excuses.

I can promise you that I am working on some really great blog posts and we will be back up and posting regularly beginning Monday. It is actually one of my New Years’ resolutions to make blogging a priority this year and get back on a regular schedule. The fact of the matter is that I need to plan better. And that is something I want to work on this year.

That, along with quite a few other things, will make me better at what I do both at home and at work. So my solemn vow is that I will be back and better than ever. Planning is exactly what I plan on doing this week – planning for the upcoming wedding season (we have 31 wonderful couples joining the family this year so far!), planning for blogging, and planning for an AMAZING year to come.

I truly hope you had a wonderful holiday season and a happy New Year!

Friday Finds 11.9.12

November 9th, 2012

Today’s find is for all you DIY brides out there who love nothing more than to curl up with a good book. Brought to you by Martha Stewart Weddings, this adorable Save the Date is perfect to show the literary side of you and your future hubby.

I love that every time your guests open up their book, they will be reminded of your wedding. It is a cute keepsake before and after the wedding. And since they are DIY you can always add your own twist and keep everything to your budget!

Friday Finds 11.2.12

November 2nd, 2012

With the weather starting to turn and most of the East Coast is in shambles, I think it’s time to bring in a bit of happiness. I saw this adorable bridal halo from LoBoheme on Etsy that I knew would be absolutely perfect for a bit of sunshine on this gloomy Friday.

I love the leaves tied into this gorgeous piece. So perfect for a fall wedding!!

Friday Finds 10.26.12

October 26th, 2012

I came across the cutest shop online, Ruche. Maybe you’ve heard of it, but if you haven’t you’ll definitely want to, like now. They have everything from dresses and accessories to children’s clothes and home and office. I just ordered this adorable dress right before it went out of stock.

They do still have it in ivory and black in case you love it as much as me!

Oh and did I forget to mention that they have a bridal line too? Oh, because they do. This is one of my favorite gowns. I LOVE the shimmer!!

I literally spent about 3 days on this website just checking out all the different items. With so much to choose from, I’m not sure how you’ll choose. If I were you, I’d spend the afternoon filling your wish list.  Have fun!

Real Wedding: Shannon & Jesse

October 25th, 2012

You know how I said I get really attached to some brides. Shannon is one of them. We talked just about every week. We were wedding BFFs. It doesn’t hurt that her groom, Jesse, was pretty awesome too. Throw in their little girl, Sophia, and they are quite the little family. She is the CUTEST little thing you ever did see!

I realized after looking through the pictures that there were barely any set up photos. They are all of people. Probably because they have some pretty great people surrounding them. From their parents to their bridal party to their grandparents and other friends, this group really tore this place up! It was easy to look past all the little details to all the dancing and laughter.

You can click on the photos to get a larger view, but don’t judge my blurry photos. I am not a professional photographer!!

I truly wish Shannon and Jesse the best in their marriage. They already have the perfect little family. Now their perfect family has become part of ours.
